Carolina Eagles to celebrate Labor Day the OneHockey way
Labor Day celebrations will never be the same in the Tar Heel State as OneHockey, your source for the most entertaining tournaments in the industry, is partnering with the Carolina Eagles hockey organization, the premier youth and junior program of the Carolinas, to present the 2017 Labor Day Fest extravaganza during the end-of-summer holiday weekend.

This four-day event will feature A- and AA-level clubs in the Squirt through U16 age groups as well as a U18 AA division taking to the ice at four hockey facilities located throughout the famed Tobacco Road vicinity.

Each team is guaranteed to play a minimum of five games while reveling in the hockey festival atmosphere that sets OneHockey apart from the rest of the sporting world.
“We’re excited to offer the locals in the Raleigh and Wake Forest areas the opportunity to see some great hockey for the Labor Day weekend played by teams they don’t normally get a chance to see,” says Sebastien Fortier, OneHockey chief executive officer.

“This is going to be a very exciting tournament put on by the world’s best tournament company We’ve been told we spoil our players, and we certainly don’t forget about making it fun for the fans either.”
The puck will drop simultaneously September 1-4, 2017, at the Polar Ice House facilities in Wake Forest, Cary and Garner as well as the Raleigh Center Ice, the official training facility of the NHL’s Carolina Hurricanes.

The program director of the Carolina Eagles, Jocelyn Langlois, shares the same hockey roots as the founder of OneHockey. Both he and Fortier were standouts during their playing days in the Quebec Major Junior League.
“We are longtime friends and it’s very exciting to be doing a tournament with Jocelyn’s program,” Fortier says. “His organization is top notch, and we know we’re going to be in good
hands dealing with him.”

A OneHockey event is anything but your everyday tournament at your neighborhood rink. From its festive music and amusing mascot streaming throughout each venue to its miniexpo of vendors and red carpet social media interviews in the lobby and, of course, its trademark championship celebrations – complete with a OneHockey Cup raising – the OneHockey Experience cannot be equaled.

“No one does what we do,” Fortier says. “We’ve revolutionized the hockey tournament industry. We transform each arena into a OneHockey arena. Throughout every venue you will hear music playing, see multiple vendors and can take part in our mini-expo, even sampling some products in Carolina. If you love hockey, you’re going love everything about our OneHockey/Carolina Eagles Labor Day Fest.”
