U16AA Player of The Week

Jacob Collinson is the Player of The Week!

Jacob was born in Royal Oak, MI in 2002.  In 2005, the family moved to Illinois and Jacob started his hockey journey with skating lessons at the age of 4 and playing mini mites at the age of 5, shortly after he was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes.  In 2008, he moved to Wake Forest, NC and immediately started playing in the spring season.  Ever since then, Jacob has devoted a lot of time and energy focused on improving and playing at the highest level he can.  This season Jacob switched from playing forward to defense and he is enjoying the new challenges that it brings.

Jacob is currently a Sophomore at Heritage High School where is plays JV lacrosse and was nominated for the National Junior Honor Society in 2016.  In Jacob's spare time he enjoys reading, playing video games, golfing, water skiing and fishing.  He is very interested in Social Studies and Science and aspires to work in a health care related field in the future.  Jacob has a younger sister that loves skating on her synchronized skating team and taking dance lessons.

Congratulations to Jacob Collinson!!!
